Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Draftsperson to join our team, with a focus on glass and aluminum entranceways. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, take initiative, and produce high-quality technical drawings on a project-by-project basis. You will also be responsible for coordinating with project managers to ensure successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft profiles for glass and aluminum entranceways using systems from Alumicor, Commdoor, CDS, and Kawneer.
- Detail commercial door hardware from suppliers such as ASSA Abloy, Dorma-Kaba, Rixson, VonDuprin, Sargent, CJ Rush, Inkan, Tormax, and CRL.
- Create drawings in AutoCAD, with the ability to transition designs from 2D to 3D being beneficial.
- Read and interpret architectural specifications, including door and hardware schedules and drawings.
- Proficient use of MS Excel.
- Coordinate work with project managers and maintain effective communication throughout the project.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Experience with glass and aluminum entranceways, door hardware, and profiles from industry suppliers.
- Ability to read architectural specifications and drawings.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
